The Renaissance Academy is a non-profit organization that provides academic and cultural enrichment through its diverse programs in order to promote a global, international perspective and to cultivate students who will contribute to society with their humanity. Through its unique educational vision, identity, and approach, The Renaissance Academy aims to expand and fulfill the educational and cultural possibilities and needs of the Hawaii community.

Founded in 1999, The Renaissance Academy provides after-school academic enrichment and tutoring with courses in mathematics, language arts, abacus (soroban), and Japanese language. The Academy also offers courses and programs such as art and piano instruction, concerts, foreign cultural events, and art exhibitions to promote cross-cultural dialogue and exchange. The desire to provide scholarships, financial aid, as well as a more diverse service to the community led to its non-profit incorporation in 2000, working with volunteer board, staff, and tutors.
